About the Franklin Area Junior Women's Club
The Franklin Area Junior Women’s Club, Inc. (FAJWC), was founded in 1998 by a group of local women who wanted to make a difference in the community while having fun and networking with other women. We support this mission with a variety of community service projects including, but not limited to, candidates’ forums, art contest for middle school students, and scholarship programs. We currently have two major fund-raisers — a Holiday Stop ‘N Shop and Corks For Kids wine-tasting. Proceeds from these events have funded our high school scholarships and paramedic and safety equipment for our fire departments (EMSC).

We meet every third Tuesday of the month, September through May, from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. at Southwood Glen Elementary School in the Mezzanine. Occasionally committee members will met at 6:30 to work on projects prior to the start of the meeting. We always schedule snacks, refreshments, and socializing as part of our meetings.

We are affiliated with the General Federation of Woman's Clubs (GFWC). It is the oldest and largest women’s volunteer organization in the world. It was founded in 1890 and was chartered by an act of the United States Congress. On average, GFWC annually contributes $37 million and 13 million volunteer hours through local club projects that address the needs of their respective communities.

We invite you to join us to find out how you can help us to continue to make a difference in our communities. We promise you will have lots of fun, too!
